Bumble Bee Class week beginning 19.09.16

Another big welcome to all of the children beginning Nursery this week and to their parents and carers.

We are continuing to learn and follow our nursery rules and routines.
Our carpet rules are: good sitting, good looking and listening.

We must remember to sit down at the Snack Table when we are drinking or eating.

We are forming new friendships with children at nursery.

We have enjoyed sharing the contents of our, "All About Me" bags with our teachers.
Corey shared a special photo of his family.

Archie told us all about his Ninja Turtle.

Mrs Sengupta awarded all of the children who began nursery this week with a Headteachers Award for having such a fantastic first week at school.

Reception settling in well!

As we come to the end of our first full week, all the reception children are settling in well.

Using Numicon to show ordering of number quantity to 10!

Constructing models and using our imaginations. 'The man is on a flying carpet going into space.'

Negotiating and taking turns to perform independent tasks on our interactive white board.

We have made new friends

and have even started our writing patterns – showing good pen grips and control.

We are looking for good grip and control of the pencil.

So let’s get those fine motor skills working by getting your child to use those fingers in interesting ways e.g. play dough modelling, threading beads, painting using their fingers, cutting, pealing and sticking stickers/gems on card etc…

Bumble Bee Class - week beginning 12.09.16

A big welcome to all of the children beginning in Bumble Bee class and to all of their parents and carers.

Our aims for the first few weeks of term are for the children: -
  • To separate from their carer with support and encouragement / independently.
  • To begin to understand and follow classroom routines.
  • To form friendships with other children and adults in the Nursery.
  • To become independent with self care. For example; using the toilet, washing their hands and putting their aprons and coats on.

We are learning to follow our carpet rules. They are good sitting, good looking and good listening.

We have enjoyed exploring and playing in our new classroom.

When we are painting we must remember to wear an apron.

At the Snack Area we have to find our photo which shows where our drink is.

Playing outside is fun too! We made our own new band!

We must remember to cycle on the road.

On Friday it was raining so we had to put our coats on when we went outside to play. Please help us to practise putting our coats on by ourselves at home.

On Friday Mrs Sengupta gave all of the children a well deserved Headteachers Award for having such a great first week at Nursery.
