Bumble Bees at the seaside!

We had a fantastic day at the beach and the sun was shining all day!

We travelled to the beach on a double decker bus!

We enjoyed playing in the sand.

We collected water to make sand castles.

We had fun paddling in the sea!

Our lunch was yummy!

The chips were delicious!

We found lots of shells at the beach.

This looks like a sharks tooth!

We had a lovely time with our family and carers.

After all the busy playing in the sunshine we deserved an ice cream!

We were very tired on the bus on the way home and some of us had a little snooze!

Thank you to everybody who joined us today at the beach.

Throughout the rest of the week at Nursery our learning activities will be based around our seaside trip.

We drew and wrote postcards at the Writing Area table.

We painted ice creams for our new role play area.

On Tuesday we visited the school hall. Sue showed us how to find a space in the hall and then taught us, "The Traffic Game"

When we heard "green" we had to walk around the hall making sure we moved into a space.

"Red" was stop and frieze.

"Amber" was crouch down bending our knees.

When he heard "streetlight" we had to stretch up on our tiptoes and reach high to the ceiling.

When he heard "bridge" we had to bend over and arch our backs.

When he heard "zebra crossing" we had to lay down on the floor.

For "reverse" we had to carefully walk backwards. We looked over our shoulders to make sure we didn't bump into anybody.

When he heard "motorway" we had to jog around the hall being extra careful to make sure we didn't bump into our friends.
We really enjoyed our movement session in the hall!

We are enjoying our new role play area - a beach and ice cream parlour!

We made our own seaside pictures.

Careful counting with shells.
