1 2 3 4 5 Once I Caught A Fish Alive.

At Nursery we learnt the rhyme "1 2 3 4 5 Once I Caught A Fish Alive". We completed lots of different activities linked to this number rhyme.

We counted fish.
We had to remember to: -
* Line the fish up before we counted them.
To point and touch the fish as we counted them.
To count slowly and use our big counting voices.
* Remember that the last number that we counted is the number of fish that there are altogether.

We counted the correct number of fish into numbered fish bowls.

Look what Farris noticed when counting ....
"3 and 3 make 6. 3 and 2 make 5".
We drew around our hands and then wrote numbers 1-10 on our fingers. We used a number formation card to help us to write our numbers.

We played an underwater game on the interactive whiteboard! We had to count the underwater creatures and click on the correct number to show how many there were altogether.

We used different techniques to decorate fishes.
We used marbling inks to make pretty patterns on our fish. Jamie is using tweezers to turn his fish over in the marbling ink tray.

We painted fish with pearlised paints and then combed over the top of them to make a scaly effect.

Our sounds we are learning this week are 'e' and 'u'.
We fished for sounds we have learnt and said their sound.

I have 'O' for Oliver!
