This week at Nursery ......

Here Come The Aliens!

The children will be encouraged to use descriptive language to describe aliens in story books and will also be making their own aliens using different materials.

At the Writing Area we drew our own aliens and described them.

We painted aliens at the easel.

On the interactive whiteboard we click and dragged objects to make our own aliens.

Using play dough we made our own aliens. 

It has arms and green shoes and a white mouth. It is called King Alien.

It has lots of ears, 2 eyes and 1 mouth. It is called Yay Yay!

She's called Lilly because she has 2 feet, eyes, arms and hands. She's a girl and she's so beautiful.

His name is Blast Off. He has 2 hands, 2 eyes and a mouth. 

Making aliens from construction materials.

On Tuesday we received this letter from Mummy Alien ......

We excitedly found the little aliens hidden around the classroom! We recorded information about the aliens and then rang Mummy Alien with our descriptions. 

Maths Focus: -

This week we will continue to focus on recognising and ordering numbers from 1-20. We will use a number line on the interactive whiteboard during whole class teaching to encourage the children to identify missing numbers and answer one more and one less than a number.

Phonics Focus - 

We will be revisiting all the letter sounds which we have learnt so far and encouraging the children to say them at speed.
