Ladybirds at the National Portrait Gallery

On Monday, Ladybird Class took the train from Bexleyheath train station to Charing Cross to visit the National Portrait Gallery.

Before going to the Gallery we took a slight detour to China Town to see the festive Chinese New Year lanterns.

We were very lucky to be able to see a Chinese Lion dance pass by.

At the National Portrait Gallery, Mark was our tour guide.

He told us about the ‘selfie’ artwork from a long time ago!

We had some fun dressing up and posing like one of the gentlemen in a painting.

We learnt lots and had lots of fun.  We even got a chance to be artists and drew a portrait of ourself, in one of the gallery rooms.  All the adults were amazed at how quiet we were as we did our drawings.

We had a wonderful day!

Thank you to the adults who helped us on our trip!
