On Monday, Ladybird Class took the train from Bexleyheath train
station to Charing Cross to visit the National Portrait Gallery.
Before going to the Gallery we took a
slight detour to China Town to see the festive Chinese New Year
lanterns.
We were very lucky to be able to see a Chinese Lion dance pass
by.
At the National Portrait Gallery, Mark was our tour guide.
He told us about the ‘selfie’ artwork from a
long time ago!
We had some fun dressing up and posing like one of the gentlemen
in a painting.
We learnt lots and had lots of fun. We even got a chance to be artists and drew
a portrait of ourself, in one of the gallery rooms. All the
adults were amazed at how quiet we were as we did our drawings.
We had a wonderful day!
Thank you to the adults who helped us on our trip!
