Our Local Walk

Last Friday, Ladybird class went on a local walk around Bexleyheath.
Before we went, we discussed keeping ourselves safe and road safety.

The main things we agreed we had to remember:

STOP, LOOK, LISTEN, THINK, CROSS

Here we were lining up in pairs, ready to leave!

We saw various things along our way.

Lot's of road and traffic signs.

We looked out for certain landmarks like:
Bexleyheath sorting office.

Bexleyheath Train Station.
The pub!
Sainsbury's Local

We specifically looked out for a zebra crossing as we know this is a safer place to cross the road.

We found one!

Here we are crossing the road safely. Look at Brogan, she is looking both ways.

This week, we have been doing lot's of work about our local walk.

We made our own map of Bexleyheath, including landmarks we saw, road signs we came across and safe crossings.

We made our own road safety signs.

We've produced some fabulous writing about our local walk and about what we could remember seeing.

We've even been doing some maths - patterning cars.
