Our week in Ladybird class 6.02.2017

With our new story 'The Story Machine' by Tom McLaughlin we have been inspired to investigate new and interesting things.

I can make my own machine

Albie is drawing a picture of his own machine.

In our role play area investigating shapes and how objects fall out of a cylinder - using some great language and ideas about gravity.  'It goes fast down the cylinder like it is dropping to the ground.'

In PE we used the ideas of a machine to travel back in time to the dinosaurs - where we stomped around and roared like dinosaurs.  After we entered a morphing machine, which changed us into superheroes, firemen, scuba divers, princesses and anything our imaginations would let us be.

For Safer Internet Day SID# we learnt how to stay safe when using a computer or tablet linked to the internet.  Smartie the penguin told us: Before you tap and click, you have to stop and thing and tell someone.

If we ask mummy or daddy they will help us BLOCK images we do not want to see or have interfere with our games.

Great number work too

Ordering numbers to 10 and recording them on a number line.

We have sent a copy of the number line home for you to complete with your child and support their learning to reinforce numbers to 10.
