We will be continuing our jungle theme at Nursery this week.
We will be reading the children rhymes from the book, "Rumble In The Jungle"
Phonics Focus: -
The letter sound which the children will be learning this week is 'v'. Linked to the sound we will be creating our own volcano pictures and making our own volcano eruptions! You can do this at home by adding vinegar to bicarbonate of soda.
We made volcanoes using a colander and pipe cleaners.
We painted volcano pictures.
Maths Focus: -
This week we will be teaching the children to use language to descibe the size of everyday objects, for example, long, longer, short, shorter. We will also encourage the children to order 2 or 3 items by length.
Can you make a snake which is longer and shorter than the one on your mat?
Chloe has ordered her snakes in order of length.
