Caterpillars and Ladybirds meet the honey bees continued

We all had a wonderful time gathering information from David and Collin about these wonderful honey bees.

David showing us about honney bees that collect pollen as well as nectar to feed their young.

th eQueen Bees who is looke after by the worker bees.

We pretended to be bees and fly around doing  a special waggle dance.

These special glasses helped us to know what it was like to see like a bee.

Collin brought in an empty hive for use to see, with its special metal lid.

Inside the hive are individual sections that the bees use to fill with special wax so that the baby lava can be placed into them and honey can be stored there too.

We were very lucky to see the live bees in this specil display window.

Poppy is observing the stripes of a bee closely.

Our new bee keepers in the making!
