Bumble Bee class week beginning 07.11.16

This week our learning activities will be based around the story

"Peace At Last" by Jill Murphy.

 

 

The children will listen to the story and then be encouraged to join in with repeated refrains from the story and identify and recall story settings, characters and events.

In the Reading Area we retold and talked about the story (settings, characters and events) using the book and story props to help us.

On Tuesday we passed around a story bag and inside were pictures related to the story which we had to identify and recall from the story.

Mark-making linked to the story.

 

The children have been encouraged to talk about their experiences from home and share their bedtime routines with their class.

We dripped paint onto our pictures using pipettes - drip, drip (like Mr Bears tap!) 

 

Our number focus this week: - This weeks focus is the number 4.

 

The children will continue to put into practise the 'careful counting' skills they have been learning to count groups of objects accurately.
