Mr Collins our Fire-fighter came to visit the class.
He explained why he had to wear a special uniform and the
children all asked some really good questions.
Mr Collins asked: ‘Who do you call if there is a fire?’ The
children were able to answer 999
He also asked: Do you know your address? If there was an emergency the fire engine needs
to know where to go, to get to the correct house.
Not many children knew this information.
It was suggested for homework: Find out what your address
is, in case of an emergency.
It was great fun trying on the special clothing that
protects a fire-fighter when they are doing their jobs.
