We had an amazing
week with our visitors to the classroom.
Our first visit was
from Lance Sergeant Stuart Laing from the Welsh Guards. All the children loved seeing Stuart in his
selection of soldier uniforms.
It was very impressive as he walked into the classroom wearing his bear skin hat.
Which we later got to
try on different parts of a soldiers uniform.
We also got to hear
him play his cornet and bugle and how the different tunes they made, meant
different calls.
We even had a go at
marching around our playground with Stuart.
Thank you Lance
Sergeant Stuart Laing
We had a lovely morning.
Holly came to visit
us on Friday and talk to us about her role as a Midwife and Health-visitor and
how she makes sure babies and their mummies are being looked after.
How we weigh a baby and listen to its
heart.
Holly demonstrated to
the children how heavy it is for a mummy to carry a baby in her tummy, using
bags of flour. Some of the children were
surprised at how heavy the bag felt. And
no one wanted to have to carry the bag for a whole day, let alone 9 months!!
