Bumblebee Class week beginning 9/1/17

For the next 3 weeks we will be learning about the weather.

This week we will be focussing on rain and wind.

The children have been using the interactive whiteboard to create different weather pictures.

 Decorating rainclouds using pipettes to create the raindrops.

They practised pencil control and patterning on umbrella and cloud shapes.

And dressing for the cold weather in our winter role play area.

The children learnt about the water cycle, using an exciting experiment with water, shaving foam and food colouring. 

The rice "sounds like the rain, drip drop drip drop".

We made kites and wind socks. It was great fun flying the kites outside.

Our maths focus is ordering numbers from 1-5 and then 1-10.
