Ladybirds WB: 23.01.2017

We began the week meeting our penguin friends inspired from the text ' Lost and Found' by Oliver Jeffers.

On our writing table we had a go at making lost posters.

And a list of things we might bring on our penguin adventures.

Here Zac has made his own penguin out of playdogh.

Vivienne created a scene with the boy and penguin about to go in their boat on an adventure.

We watched a simple clip of how to paint a penguin and got creative at the art table.

Here Maddy is supporting Amelie in her next step of where to place the eyes.

This week we have been reinforcing and challenging ourself to record addition number sentences, by rolling a dice.
We use the dots to support counting altogether (=)

Great use of dots to support your counting Charlie.

In PE we got really active and has some team races. Running around the cone and passing our ball to our team mate.

We worked on speeding up our team, by looking where our team runner was so that the next person was ready to receive the ball and leave the start line quickly.

Great team spirit was shown by all as everyone cheered on there team members.
Ending our session with a warm down and finally being mindful with some relaxing music.

As it is nearly Chinese New Year, in ICT we have been using our mouse skills to click and colour in a dragon.

We even had a go at tying our name on our work.

Adam made a boat from construction materials for our lost penguin.
